VETERANS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM/FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Description: This program will address the needs of veterans, their families and surviving spouses with financial assistance, referral and supportive services. Expenses eligible for consideration of payment are: mortgage, rent, utilities, vehicle repairs, gasoline, bus passes, taxi fare, child-related expenses (diapers, formula, school supplies and child care), prescriptions, dental care, eyeglasses, work-related items and personal needs such as food, clothing and toiletries.

St. Joseph Health Care Trust partners with parishes and community-based organizations to offer medical services to low income, uninsured or under insured individuals and families. Services include: Direct medical assistance, Vision services, Dental services, Counseling (through approved providers), Durable medical goods, Preventative health care, Health screenings, Health fairs, Pharmaceutical assistance, Health education, Health systems navigation
Clients are asked to financially contribute toward the cost of services. A minimum copayment of $10 is required. The copayment may be higher depending on the type of service and client income. Fees for dental services are based on the type of procedure.
